Winter weather is on its way, and we want to make sure you know exactly what to expect if (or when!) a Snow Day hits. Your safety comes first, so we’ve created a simple plan to help you stay active—no matter what the forecast brings.
Here’s how it works:
🌨 If a major snowfall is in the forecast:
We’ll send out a text and app notification as early as possible (up to 48 hours ahead) to let you know that we’re watching conditions closely.
🧊 If we move to a Partial Closure:
Chair-based sessions will always be cancelled on Snow Days.
You’ll receive a message when we’ve cancelled in-studio sessions and posted the Alternate Snow Day Schedule in the Fit by Wix app.
You’ll have options to:
Join an alternative In-studio Snow Day session (limited spots available).
Join a regular or alternate Zoom session.
Do an on-demand workout from our website (and remember to check the box so it counts toward your monthly consistency goals!).
🚫 If we move to a Complete Closure:
All in-studio sessions will be cancelled, and your sessions will be returned to your account.
You can still stay on track by joining a Zoom session or doing an on-demand workout from our members’ section.
?? What should I do if I'm worried about losing a session because of weather?
If you’re concerned about road conditions or want to avoid last-minute changes, please cancel yourself out 24+ hours in advance. This refunds your session to use at a later time and gives someone else a chance to book in.
We’ll always communicate closures or changes through text and app notifications, so please make sure your contact info is up to date. Updates can be emailed to info@proactivefit.ca.Â
