Falling Off in the Summer: Don't Let it Happen to You!

Let’s talk about summer.
It’s the season when most people fall off. The structure of school-year schedules disappears. Weekends blur into weekdays. Travel, events, and spontaneity take over.
And that’s not a bad thing—it’s life. But here’s the trap: when structure disappears, so does consistency.
Most people try to push through with good intentions…But they end up stuck in all-or-nothing thinking.
They go from “I’m going to be so consistent this summer!”…to “Welp, I missed a few days so I’ll just restart after vacation.”…to “I’ll get back on track in September.”
And that’s how an entire season slips away.
But here’s the truth I want you to hear today:
This summer doesn’t have to be about getting by. It can be about getting better.
You don’t need a major overhaul. You need a little structure that fits into the real life you’re living right now.
Quick Tip: Build Your “Bare Minimum Plan”
When life is busy or messy, don't aim for perfect. (You know what I think about THAT!)Instead, pick 3 non-negotiables that keep you anchored—no matter what. These are the bare minimums that you will commit to doing, because you're worth it!
Here’s mine:
Move for 20 minutes. Walk, strength train, stretch—whatever gets me moving.
Protein + plants at every meal. Simple, sustainable fuel.
5 minutes of planning at night. Review today, set priorities for tomorrow, and breathe.
Write yours down. Post them on the fridge. Let them be your summer foundation.
Want to share your 3 non-negotiables with me? I'd love to hear them!
